Geemi
Wellawatte

My research interests lie at the intersection of AI and science. Currently I work as the AI Tech Lead at FutureHouse in San Francisco. I build AI agents that help automate scientific workflows from literature search and data analysis to automate end-to-end scientific research. I trained as a computational chemist, with a postdoc at EPFL from the Schwaller Group, a PhD from the White lab at the University of Rochester, and a BSc in Computational Chemistry from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka. My previous work focused on explainable AI in chemistry, coarse-grained molecular modeling, and applications of deep learning in chemistry.
